From mid-December many people are on leave, so expect more browsing on phones, at all hours.

Late November: gift guides
Straight after Cyber Monday, gift guides by person and by budget. They work in search, in email and on social.

Early December: the money lands
Many employers pay early in December. Put your strongest gift offers in front of people in the days after.

The delivery cut-off
Agree your last order date for delivery before Christmas with your courier, show it on every page, and switch to gift vouchers after it.

Christmas to New Year: the sales
The Day of Goodwill and the week after are for clearance and for people spending gift cards and vouchers.

January: the long month
Money is tight until the January payday. Plan a January sale for it, and back-to-school from the first week.

It depends on your courier and where you deliver. Ask your courier for their December cut-off dates early, then set your own a day or two before and show it on the site.
By the usual 25th rule it is Thursday, 24 December 2026, but many employers pay earlier in December, before the holidays.
